A friend of mine received a text from T Mobile asking him if he wanted to upgrade his phone with a new hands free set. It was a simple text and as usual said terms and conditions apply. He clicked yes.
Within a few days he received his handsfree set (he described it as a cheap set from Hong Kong!!) but he kept it and is still in the box, unused.
When he went to upgrade his phone as it was due for upgrade they told him he was not entitiled to an upgrade for another year as he had just had one. He argued that he had not but they told him that the text for the hands free that he accepted "was his upgrade".
This text was not clear in saying that it would replace the upgrade he was due to have and when he called the call center on four different ocassions they only told him to write a letter as they could not help.
Shame on you T Mobile for allowing this to happen!!! Is this a new way of fooling the public so you do not have to upgrade phones??? If the product was not used and my friend wanted to return it and have his upgrade re-instated, why could this not have been done?? Why was your customer service personnel so unhelpful, and in one case, borderline rude???
A Warning to all...Delete any product offerings from Tmobile. They should not be trying to confuse their customers in this way. It is sneaky and underhanded Has this happened to anyone else???? |
