Use the web to see if you can find more information about the company (ies) in question. www.bbb.org www.ftc.gov and www.ripoffreport.com are good places to start. There are others too. An absence of information does not mean there are no problems. For example, look up "Internet Treasure Chest or Cardservice International". Sometimes people who have had experience with the company post their own site example: www.newsouthint.com/itcscam. If you are new to the web or pc's, get a year's experience of use and familiarity of the web and web problems and your pc 1st before venturing into business ideas. Don't believe the phrase about not needing much or any computer experience or that it is a business not requiring much effort. Many factors are in need of being considered. What will you do to correct problems you encounter when so much is technically out of your hands for instance? Rely on the scruples of a voice on long distance? Take your time and check out things thouroughly. You might check out the example company above even if it's not the one you're interested in to see what kinds of things you might encounter or to discover variables you may need to think about whatever or wherever your interests in this type of business may be. |
